SPARK Chapter Pakistan

A self-financed, student-led youth empowerment initiative. It takes no donations and works with schools on trust.

  • Reached over 10,000 students and young people with tech guidance and career awareness.
  • Wrote its founding documents: a Preamble, a Charter and two annexes. A rank system with Roman-style titles is on the way.
  • Ran SPARK Summer Camp 2026 for about 35 students aged 14 to 22, across Python, ML, web development and open discussion, for a total cost of around PKR 5,000.
  • Built the official web platform on Next.js, Redis and Firebase.

What it is

SPARK is a student-led youth empowerment initiative based near NUST's H-12 campus. It finances itself, takes no donations, and works with schools on trust rather than contracts.

It has a constitution. I wrote it: a Preamble, a Charter, and Annex I and Annex II. A tier and rank system with Roman-style titles and real progression is being formalized next, because if an organization is going to have culture it may as well have good titles.

Summer Camp 2026

About 35 students, aged roughly 14 to 22, took tracks in Python, machine learning, web development and open discussion. The whole camp cost around PKR 5,000.

It was run as a deliberate experiment. We removed grades and attendance enforcement and kept the content hard. The result is written up in The Aristotelian Classroom. The short version: what changed students was removing the verdict, not removing the difficulty.

The web platform

I built SPARK's web presence at sparkchapter.com, with authentication and navigation on Next.js, Redis and Firebase. When a partnership with another organization hit a conflict, I resolved it by securing the approvals we needed independently.
